Computex 2018: Deepcool presented new products under the umbrella of GamerStorm

The Chinese guys brought three RGB water coolers, one RGB air cooler, and a new case and power supply series to this year’s Computex.

We will open the series of presentations with the Castle 240/280 RGB water cooling system, which can be purchased immediately in two sizes, with 240 and 280 mm radiators. The bulky processor block, which can also be mounted on a TR4 socket, is made of pure copper and its E-shaped microchannels are designed to increase the size of the surfaces on which heat exchange takes place.

Thanks to the built-in double panes and lighting capable of displaying 16.7 million colors, equipped with five factory effects and capable of thirty-six freely variable modes, it is only up to our creativity and sense of beauty to create an aesthetic value for the machine corner. The synchronized pixie effect of the water blocks and fans can be controlled using a wired controller included in the package or the addressable RGB function of the motherboard. According to the plans, the two Castle structures will be available from July, and the manufacturer would ask for $110 for the smaller version and $130 for the larger one.

The other new wet thing is the Captain 240PRO, which has been equipped with an automatic pressure regulator, which is said to prevent any kind of leakage. The water flows into the two-chamber radiator from one direction and thus the circulation becomes more efficient. It also has an addressable RGB, with the settings of which we can play with the model of the Castle 240/280 (controller/ADD-RGB motherboard). The product is expected to arrive in stores in August, priced at $120.

Coming from rainy landscapes to windier spheres, the air cooling of the GAMMAXX GT TGA, which is a member of the TUF Gaming Alliance, is outlined in front of us, so the presence of RGB can easily be inferred. The device retains the heritage of the GAMAXX GT series, the aluminum RGB cover, synchronized lighting, and good cooling capacity. It will be available from July for a $45 down payment.

At the stand, the tricky named Fryzen was also exhibited, which, by the way, is not so much made for Ryzen as it is for Threadripper with its huge base. In any case, it is compatible with all other AMD sockets except TR4, and it will arrive in July, with a price of $90.

Leaving the refrigerators behind, we made our way to the new Matrexx house series, of which we were already able to get to know three members. The product line is characterized by a minimalist design, panels made of tempered glass, and an RGB light organ that can be addressed/synchronized with a button or motherboard. The types are: Matrexx 55, 70 and 75. The ATX-sized slots will be able to receive E-ATX boards and we can also pack them with a sufficient amount of external storage – although perhaps one or two extra 3.5″ drawers would be welcome. The trio will debut in September on the marketplace, with pricing of $40, $60, and $90, respectively.

The final stop of Deepcool’s safari reached us on the savannah dominated by power supplies, where we could take a closer look at the three grazing specimens of the DQ herd. According to the tour guide, they are called DQ650-M, DQ750-M, and DQ850-M, in which names the three-digit numbers refer to the watt value. They are well-developed beasts, the triumvirate is uniformly capable of 80 Plus Gold efficiency, operates with precisely regulated voltages and low noise levels, and has a completely modular design (which the -M suffix already hinted at).

The capacitors are 100% Japanese parts, the liquid bearing fan is 120 mm and speed-controlled. The mother animal trusts her little ones, which is why she guarantees them for 5 years. Starting next month, turkeys will be able to find a new home for $130, $150, and $160.
