The German company embraced RGB when designing the Light Base houses, but fortunately this is not their only interesting feature.
Based on the products exhibited at Computex, be quiet! he did not sit on his laurels in the past period, but was engaged in the design of computer housings, at least that was our feeling regarding the Light Base series, which is radically different from the previous products of the Germans.

The housing family currently has two members, the mid-range Light Base 600 and the top model 900. These are not the cheapest products, for example, the 900 family, coming in the fall in black and white, will cost 170 euros without fans, in puritan black, while in white, with four pre-installed Light Wings FX air stirrers, you will have to leave 230 euros at the checkout. The Light Base 600, also expected for autumn, will start at 140 euros.
In terms of structure and design, the Light Base models have an “aquarium” design, so they serve to offer the best insight into the interior. Accordingly, they are covered in glass both on the front and on the motherboard side. It cannot be stated whether this means the right or left side, because the housing can be rotated, so the motherboard can look to the right or left – for example, the Dark Base 900 was able to do this, but there the entire motherboard tray had to be removed, whereas the Light With Bases, only the legs need to be rearranged in order to obtain a vertical, horizontal or even “inverse” arrangement. Regarding the interior space, we would also like to point out that it is also compatible with bottom-connected boards, and of course there is plenty of room for radiators. The installation is facilitated by all kinds of removable frames and cable covers, and the mentioned “leg installation” does not require tools, in fact, it can be done with an already assembled PC, even while it is in operation.
As the name Light Base might suggest, the new products are not lacking in ARGB lighting either, and this is an unusual quantity from the manufacturer: it is not enough that the included fans are from the Light Wings FX series, but the grid “front” and cover of the case also received a lot from them. The colors and effects can of course be customized, and even a pleasant “boot animation” can be activated when you turn it on.
Among the other novelties on display is the Dark Rock 5, which is the smaller brother of the Dark Rock 5 Pro and Elite introduced last fall, with a single rib and a single fan. The company recommends the novelty with a TDP of up to 210 watts, whose magnetically fixed fins topped with a metal mesh cover plate are connected to the copper base by six heat-conducting tubes with a diameter of 6 mm. Ventilation is provided by a 120 mm Silent Wings 4 fan, and compatibility extends to Intel LGA115x, LGA1200, LGA1700, LGA2066 and AMD Socket AM4 and AM5 sockets. Dark Rock 5 will arrive in the second half of June, with a recommended price of 70 euros.
On the water-cooled side, the Light Loop series is the new product – just like the Light Bases, it is quite “LED” because not only the included Light Wings LX fans light up, but also the plastic ridge on the top of the cooling block. The series will be available in black and white in 240 and 360 mm sizes in September, with prices ranging from 130 to 165 euros. The Light Loop family is compatible with LGA115x, LGA1200, LGA1700, LGA1851, AMD Socket AM4 and AM5 sockets.
