Confirmations on negotiations between the Government and the Chinese for a factory in Italy

Yesterday’s news about the negotiations between the Italian Government and the Chinese Dongfeng to open a car factory in Italy finds confirmation. Speaking about it, on the occasion of the automotive table called for August 7, was the Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy Adolfo Urso. Urso then added that the executive is talking with “several Chinese production companies”.

The names on the table

According to what was published by the agencies, the minister recalled the signing of the memorandum between the Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and the Chinese Minister of Industry on the occasion of the recent visit to China of the prime minister.

In the center there is a industrial collaboration in various fields such as hybrid and electric mobility, themes in which the Asian giant is at the forefront.

Returning to the car manufacturers that could produce in Italy after mid-August, some members of Mimit will go to China again, in order to start talks with Byd and Aiways, which could then support Dongfeng.

The terms of the discussions with the Chinese companies are not yet known, nor are any locations where the new factories could be built. The ministry has started reconnaissance in Italy to identify abandoned industrial sites to be recovered.
