The new Konflikti series by Aku Louhimiehe, known for the movie Unknown Soldier, will start on MTV3 and MTV Katsomo in November.
MTV original series The events of the conflict begin when an unknown enemy attacks a small coastal town while Finns are preparing to celebrate Midsummer.
Conscript Annika Berg (Julia Korpinen) and her group fight in the occupied territory, while the head of the unit Rami Ohrankämmen (Peter Franzén) goes in search of his family. At the same time, the newly elected president Linnea Saaristo (Sara Soulié) finds herself on the brink of the impossible. The occupied area has the family of President Saaristo, so there is a merciless balancing act between national security and personal loss.
Also starring in the conflict are Pirkka-Pekka Petelius, Salah Isse Mohamed, Jukka Puotila, Matti Ristinen, Elias Gould, Reetta Ylä-Rautio, Aleksi Kaukamo, Leo Sjöman and Samuli Vauramo.
Dylan Smith (The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power), Nadia Forde (Once Upon a Time in London) and Larry Lamb (Gavin and Stacey) have been brought in from abroad.
The six-part Konflikt directed by Aku Louhimiehe can be watched on the MTV3 channel and the MTV Katsomo service from Saturday, November 30.
