Conscia acquires PlanNet21 Group, a leading supplier on the Irish market of cyber security and IT network services.

With the purchase, Conscia enters the market in Ireland

Conscia is a leading European provider of secure services and solutions within cyber security and IT networks for business-critical IT infrastructure in large organisations.

The company acquires the PlanNet21 Group (PlanNet21 Communications Ltd, Agile Networks Ltd and eCom Solutions Ltd), which is a leading provider of cyber security and IT network services operating in the Irish and UK markets.

Conscia and PlanNet21 Group have both provided cyber security, secure network solutions, IT infrastructure and hybrid cloud solutions to public organizations and private companies for more than 20 years. Both companies are strongly committed to translating their deep technical skills and insight into value for customers. A cornerstone of both Conscia and PlanNet21 Group is their long-standing partnerships with leading global technology partners.

CEO Erik Bertman, Conscia Group

“I am very happy to welcome both customers and the talented employees from PlanNet21 Group to Conscia, and we look forward to working together in Ireland and in our other markets. There is a strong commercial and cultural match, which will result in extremely attractive value propositions for customers,” says CEO Erik Bertman, Conscia Group.

The company is headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, with regional offices in Cork, Galway, Belfast and Edinburgh, Scotland. PlanNet21 Group has approximately 300 customers within the public sector and in the private business world, primarily within technology, media and telecommunications.

“With Conscia, we can accelerate our development through improved offers for customers and a pan-European presence. They bring financial strength and scale to our network capabilities and are an attractive owner for us through their position as a leading player in cyber security, based on award-winning services and solutions, combined with data insight through their Managed Detection and Response and Security Information and Event platforms Management,” says CEO Peter Carroll, PlanNet21 Group.

PlanNet21 Group has eight core solutions and service offerings with advanced industry-specific specialties within enterprise networks, cyber security, cloud, data centers, and unified communications and collaboration as well as contact center services and customized software solutions.

“Nordic Capital is happy to be part of Conscia’s growth journey and the company’s continued strategy for international expansion. PlanNet21 Group is a perfect match, and combined with the strong culture and skilled employees in both companies, Conscia will be able to accelerate its growth further. The deal marks Conscia’s entry into Ireland and strengthens the company’s position as a leading European player that provides a complete package of solutions and services within cyber security and IT networks to customers across markets,” says Rolf Torsøe, Managing Director, Nordic Capital Advisors.

PlanNet21 Group is Conscia’s 20th acquisition across eight European geographic markets and follows Conscia’s acquisition of UK digital transformation provider ITGL and Nordic observability specialist Kanari Group earlier this year.
