Airport Railroad Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Airport Railroad) announced that it will hold the ‘Airport Railroad Design Illustration and Calligraphy Contest’ for one month starting on the 1st.
This contest was held to select a representative image symbolizing the Airport Railroad and a new design to promote the new electric train that will be operated from 2025. The application field is divided into ‘illustration field’ and ‘calligraphy field’. Duplicate participation is also possible.
The contest theme for the ‘Illustration Category’ is ‘Representative Illustration Symbolizing the Vision and Mission of the Airport Railroad’, and the ‘Calligraphy Category’ is the Airport Railroad’s vision of ‘The Safest and Fastest Route’ and its mission ‘Happy Companions!’ A total of three sentences, including ‘AREX’ and an additional optional sentence, are expressed in calligraphy. The winning work will be used in various places, including airport railroad posters, brochures, and souvenirs.
Both individuals and groups can participate in the contest, and any Korean citizen can participate, with one work per team.
The total prize money for the contest is 20 million won, in the illustration field: ▲ grand prize (1 person) 4 million won ▲ excellence prize (2 people) 2 million won ▲ encouragement prize (7 people) 1 million won, and in the calligraphy field ▲ grand prize (1 person) 2 million won ▲ excellence prize (1 person) 1 million won ▲Encouragement Award (4 people) 500,000 won prize money will be paid.
Lee Chang-hwan, head of the Airport Railroad Future Business Division, said, “The contest winners will play an important role in promoting Korea’s Airport Railroad to the world through various promotional media.”
