A new feature is coming to OneNote. Copilot’s artificial intelligence can read even ugly handwriting in notes and convert it into legible writing. So far only in beta testing.
Microsoft brings a new feature to OneNote that allows Copilot AI to read and analyze handwritten notes. This feature, so far only in beta, allows users to write notes with a stylus and then have them reformatted into typewritten text, ask questions or create to-do lists based on those notes.
Copilot first launched in OneNote in November, and this new upgrade will be for existing Microsoft 365 subscribers and Copilot Pro users. Testing has shown that Copilot can decipher even worse handwriting and accurately transcribe it into legible text.
To test this feature now, you must be a Microsoft 365 Insider member with the latest versions of OneNote for Windows and have a subscription to Copilot Pro or Copilot for Microsoft 365. It’s also important to mention that the feature does not yet support diacritics, but it should in the final version application added.
