Corn on top again; traffic is generally negative

The week behind us on the Product Exchange brought a drop in turnover of 24.31% compared to the previous one. In total, 2,675.00 tons of goods were traded, with a financial value of RSD 68,424,250.00. After two weeks in which wheat was the dominant crop in trading, corn once again took the primary place. Corn and soybean prices recorded growth this week, while wheat had a negative price trend.

And after wheat – corn

During the first half of the week, the supply of corn was extremely weak, but during the second half there was an increase in activity on this market. Corn was the most traded crop this week, accounting for 62% of the total weekly turnover, with 1,650.00 tons of goods traded. Exchange contracts were concluded in the price range from 18.50 to 19.50 dinars/kg without VAT, depending on the aflatoxin analysis.

The weighted price was 19.29 din/kg without VAT (21.22 din/kg with VAT), and after three weeks during which the price had a negative trend, the price rose. Compared to last week, the price was higher by 8.32%. It was also traded at the CPT port parity at a price of 19.00 to 19.50 din/kg without VAT.

In the first days of the week, the supply of wheat was noticeably higher than the demand, and the end of the week was marked by weak activity on the market, which caused a drop in the turnover of wheat compared to the previous two weeks when it was the primary crop in trading. It was traded in the price range from 19.60 to 19.80 din/kg without VAT, depending on quality and parity parameters.

The weighted price this week was 19.70 din/kg without VAT (21.67 din/kg with VAT). The price decline continued this week, and the price was lower by 5.04% compared to seven days earlier. One exchange contract was also concluded for wheat with a minimum of 14% protein at the CPT buyer parity at a price of 23.95 din/kg without VAT.

We see rye! But we don’t see customers

On the first working day of the week, there was a complete absence of activity on the soybean market. In the following days, the activity was also weak, and one exchange contract was concluded at the price level of 63.00 din/kg without VAT (69.30 din/kg with VAT) with the calculation of quality, and it was at the same time and the price weight. Compared to the previous week, the price was higher by 1.20%. A forward contract for soybeans harvested in 2024 at a price of 51.50 dinars/kg excluding VAT with quality calculation was also concluded.

The feed barley market was extremely calm throughout the week, and no stock market contracts were concluded. There was no major activity on the rapeseed market either, and the price spread of supply and demand contributed to its absence from trading. Rye was also offered during the week at a price of 23.00 din/kg without VAT, but this offer was not met with a response from buyers.
