Corsair introduced thicker than usual iCUE Link RX Max fans

The Max novelties are successors to the iCUE Link RX fan models released in winter, which have increased in thickness by a fifth.

Over the course of the year, we have seen quite a lot of fan innovations from Corsair, and the next in line is the iCUE Link RX Max series, which has just arrived for sale, which increases the cooling power with 30 mm thick fans instead of the traditional 25 mm. There are models in 120 and 140 mm sizes with and without RGB lights, and as the name suggests, they are compatible with Corsair’s iCUE management software. The 25 mm thick iCUE Link RX series was launched in February.

In terms of technology, the fans rely on the manufacturer’s familiar formula of recent times, i.e. they use magnetic dome bearings and the AirGuide structure in the frame that prevents air vortices. For the RX120 Max, a speed of 400-2000 rpm is promised with a static pressure of 4.2 millimeters of water, while for the RX140 Max, the corresponding readings are said to be 300-1600 rpm and 2.4 mmH2O.

The RX Maxes without RGB lights only come in black and are equipped with thermal sensors, which increases the cooling fine-tuning possibilities with the iCUE software. The RGB models, on the other hand, can be chosen in either black or white, and in addition to illuminated fan blades, they have a “window” integrated into the side of the frame to increase visibility, just like in previous RX fans. In the packages of two and three fans, the iCUE Link hub is delivered, to which several fans can be connected with one cable to facilitate installation.

Corsair iCUE Link RX Max fans can be ordered directly from the manufacturer and from retailers when deliveries start around November. The recommended prices for individual fans are 49.90 (120 mm) and 54.90 euros (140 mm) for the RGB models, while the RX Maxit without RGB lights is priced at 39.90 (120 mm) and 49.90 euros (140 mm) per piece . With packages of several fans, you get a little savings and, as mentioned, on top of the iCUE Link hub.
