Corsair released the MP700 Elite SSD drives – now we’re in a pretty fast-paced mood

Corsair introduced a new PCIe 5.0 SSD collection to the market. It offers quite a good level of speed.

Vintage on called MP700 Elite, and under it Corsair sells PCIe 5.0 type M.2 SSD drives. Corsair says the new drives bring the next generation of storage technology to the mainstream market, offering performance and reliability.

MP700 Elite drives can have a sequential read speed of up to 10,000 megabytes per second and a sequential write speed of up to 8,500 megabytes per second. The PCIe 5.0 x4 controller Phison PS5031-E31T acts as the heart of the drives.

The performance of the drives is visible to the computer user in faster start-up times, reduced game loading times and file transfer speeds. The drive also has Microsoft DirectStorage support, which significantly shortens the loading times of compatible games.

The MP700 Elite series uses High-Density 3D TLC NAND memory chips, which are said to offer performance and durability.

MP700 Elite drives are available both with and without a cooler. The Corsair SSD Toolbox software, on the other hand, offers tools for managing the drive.

Corsair offers a five-year warranty on the drives. The Corsair MP700 Elite series is available in one and two TB capacities from Corsair’s online store and retailers. A terabyte drive without a cooler can be found in Finnish retail for around 170 euros, and a two terabyte version with a pre-installed cooler for around 300 euros.
