Corsair updates its RMx family of power supplies

Corsair has managed to turn its RMx power supplies into a clear reference in its market, and the truth is that it is more than deserved, because with each update of the same, with the arrival of new models, we have been able to see that the evolution is enormous, even when they already started from a more than remarkable position. And this, added to the fact that this type of renovations has been taking place frequently, has caused that for some time now they are one of the first options to take into account in many cases.

In this case, we are faced with a renewal that is carried out to adopt new industry standards, more specifically ATX 3.1 and, by their hand, also the native ATX 12V-2×6 connectors. As you may already know, ATX 3.1 includes several improvements and changes aimed at improving energy efficiency, compatibility with more current components (such as the most demanding graphics cards), improvements in compatibility with other current specifications, such as PCIe 5.1improvements in cable management… in short, we are faced with a significant improvement in the specification that governs the power supplies of the vast majority of PCs.

Thus, the Corsair RMx power supplies, in their 2024 versions, which have been announced, are theos modelos de 750w, 850w y 1.000w, All of them are now compatible with these standards. Of course, as it could not be otherwise, they all share the certification 80 Plus Goldand they also have an A rating in terms of their noise level, meaning they remain as quiet, even at maximum performance, as their predecessors.

In addition, in this sense, Corsair has introduced a striking and practical element in these new RMx sources, a control on the back of the same (the one that remains visible on the outside) with which users who wish to do so can override the automatic control functions of the power supplies, to Manually control the fan rotation speed. A surprising novelty, but one that will undoubtedly find multiple uses when it begins to reach users.

Another important new feature, as I mentioned earlier, is compatibility with the new native ATX 12V-2×6 connectorswhich is necessary for some of the most demanding graphics cards today, and which is set to become more popular with the arrival of new generations of the same. And, of course, as is common in this family, the native 2×6 connection is added to its modular design, which allows us to place only the cables that we really need inside the system.

The new Corsair RMx power supplies are now available in the Web page from Corsair, and their prices start from 154,90 euros.
