The events took place on the evening of Tuesday 7 January, around 10pm, while Costanzo Jannotti Pecci was in his car, heading towards his home in Posillipo.

“I move to the right and let him pass. I thought they were in a hurry, because they were on board a man and one donna sitting behind him. They had helmets,” recalls the leader of the Neapolitan industrialists.
But once you surpass the car, the motorcycle has stopped in the middle of the road blocking the way.
“At this point I roll down the window without even thinking about it too much. I wanted to understand what was happening…”, admits Jannotti Pecci.

But no: the motorbike started up againpursuit among the streets of Naples. “I felt like I ended up in the middle of Steven Spielberg’s Duel,” says Costanzo Jannotti Pecci. This went on for a while, then the entrepreneur made a U-turn and accelerated towards home. Fortunately, the pursuers gave up.
At the time, Costanzo Jannotti Pecci didn’t say anything to his family so as not to worry them, but the next day he went to report it.
After a few days, the agents of the Fuorigrotta police station contacted him to show him some photos immortalizing the motorcyclist. The investigations are open.
The intimidations
