Cottage cheese balls according to grandma’s recipe. Cooking with children!

Curd balls with a crispy crust and powdered sugar are a real treat! Let’s cook them together according to Grandma Velta’s recipe.

Children will be able to help prepare the dough and sprinkle the powdered sugar “snowball”. But frying in hot oil is a job for adults only!

You will need:

– 500 g cottage cheese,

– 4 eggs,

– 100 g sugar,

– 120 g flour,

– 1 teaspoon of soda,

– 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar,

– 1 tablespoon vanilla powdered sugar,

– 500 ml of oil.

Preparation:

1. Heat oil in a saucepan or deep frying pan. Have a bowl of paper towels ready to soak up excess oil from the balls. Mix vanilla and regular powdered sugar.

2. Stir the cottage cheese with a spoon to break up large lumps. Add eggs and sugar to the cottage cheese, stir until the sugar dissolves.

3. Then add flour mixed with soda to the mixture and knead the dough.

4. Drop the dough into the hot oil using a teaspoon and fry the balls until golden brown on both sides.

5. Remove the finished balls from the oil and dry on paper towels.

6. Transfer the balls to a plate and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Bon appetit!
