Although Sport1 is showing the PDC Darts World Championship live on free TV for the 21st time, the first step is to draw with six German participants in the draw.
The countdown to the 2025 Darts World Championship begins with the draw on Monday. For the first time in history, six German participants will be taking part in the London “Ally Pally”. Martin Schindler and Gabriel Clemens are among the top 32 in the Order of Merit and are therefore automatically seeded for the 2nd round. Ricardo Pietreczko and Florian Hempel earned their starting place at the World Championships by finishing in the top 32 of the Pro Tour Order of Merit. In addition, Niko Springer secured the World Cup ticket via the PDC Development Tour and Kai Gotthardt via the PDC Europe Super League.
Sport1 will broadcast the draw on Monday from 5.30 p.m. in a live stream on Sport1.de and in the Sport1 app with original commentary. After the big anniversary last year, Sport1 is continuing the long tradition and broadcasting the Darts World Cup live for the 21st time. From December 15, 2024 to January 3, 2025, the stage at Alexandra Palace in London will once again be the venue for the best darts players in the world.
Sport1 shows the Darts World Cup with regular countdown and analysis programs in around 122 live hours on free TV as well as on its digital and social media channels. A total of 19 days of darts in a row are on the program. Katharina Kleinfeldt moderates and delivers interviews and impressions from “Ally Pally” from the start of the World Cup. The broadcasts are accompanied by commentator Basti Schwele and the experts Robert Marijanovic and Max Hopp.
