Country music legend Kris Kristofferson dies at 88

BarcelonaKris Kristofferson (Texas, 1936), country music legend and winner of a Golden Globe as best actor for the film A star is born (1976), has died at the age of 88 at his home in Hawaii, according to his family.

Defined as per the journal Rolling Stone as “one of the greatest composers of all time”, in 1985 he became part of the group Highwaymenwhich also included Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash and which brought together the best country singers of the moment.

His legacy leaves songs like Sunday Mornin’ Comin’ Down, Help Me Make it Through the Night, For the Good Times o Me and Bobby McGee.

Kristofferson, however, was not only a singer-songwriter, but also marked an era in Hollywood, where he participated in more than 70 films, among which he stands out A star is bornin which he shared the screen with Barbra Streisand and which earned him the Golden Globe.
