The former tennis player has not been heard from since May 28 and has not responded to messages from his lawyer: the hearing on the case of alleged false Covid vaccinations is scheduled for November 5.
“He hasn’t been heard from for months.” With these words Lawyer Cristian Carmelo Nicotra, of the Enna bar, has announced that he has resigned from his position as Camila Giorgi’s lawyer. At the hearing on the case of the alleged fake Covid vaccines, postponed to November 5, the former tennis player and three of her family members will be assisted by a public defender appointed by the Vicenza court: the lawyer Giampaolo Silvetti. This is yet another singular twist regarding Giorgi, who in recent weeks has attracted attention first for her sudden and mysterious retirement, then for the various judicial and tax rumors concerning her.

Lawyer Nicotra will continue to assist only Leandro, Camila’s brother, for which a plea bargain was requested. During the preliminary hearing held in Vicenza, the Sicilian lawyer justified his resignation with the unavailability of Camila and his other clients. In particular, Since May 28th the former tennis player has not been heard from againdespite the chats that would demonstrate how all the messages sent by Nicotra himself were read, at least until June 24. The only responses, in fact, came from Leandro, for whom Nicotra will continue to provide service. Camila and the other members of the Giorgi family, however, have not given any more feedback.

The hearing, in the meantime, has been – in fact – postponed to next autumn by the preliminary investigations judge Antonella Crea due to four notification defects. In addition to Camila Giorgi, the singer Madame is also involved in the proceedings. The defendants, 25 in total, will have to answer to various charges, of various kinds: ideological falsehood, corruption, embezzlement. Leandro Giorgi, brother of the former tennis player, has requested a plea bargain of six months. The case concerns false Covid vaccinations that would have been certified by a compliant doctor’s office, without the serum actually being inoculated to the interested parties.

Who knows if, before November 5, Camila Giorgi and her loved ones will rely on another lawyer or if they will really accept to be defended by the public defender appointed by the Vicenza court. The former tennis player from Macerata would have benefited from the “green pass” to participate in some tournaments, but without undergoing vaccination. The lack of responses to the messages from the lawyer Nicotra are only the latest of the many “mysteries” regarding the Giorgi’s cryptic exit from the world of tennis. Some time ago, Camila labeled as “fake news” on social media the news about her, including those related to alleged debts and unresolved issues, inviting followers to trust only her statements. Then, however, she closed herself in silence. Even with her lawyer.
