Create your own covers on Spotify

Spotify introduces a tool to create custom playlist covers, but has some special requirements.

It’s long been possible for Spotify users to customize the covers of their playlists, but now the streaming service is taking that idea to a new level. The company has launched a beta version of a new tool that allows users to create their own custom covers for their playlists. The tool is available in the mobile apps for both free users and subscribers and is being rolled out now.

Spotify has announced that the feature has been released in 65 markets, but it has not specified which ones. In addition, it has a bit of a special requirement as the editor requires English as the system language regardless of the market, at least for the time being.

The new tool is accessed by tapping the three dots under playlists. Users can now change the background, add text in different styles, experiment with visual effects, and add stickers. However, it is only possible to have one cover per playlist, which means that if a new cover is created, the old one will be replaced.
