Critical step for the Turkish defense industry! It will add strength to our strength on the field

Subcontractor and Supply Management Workshop in the Defense and Aviation Sector will be held in Bursa on 11-13 October with the participation of sector representatives. In the workshop that started yesterday; The expectations and demands of subcontractors will be taken, the work that needs to be carried out for their sustainability will be examined, solutions will be developed for the issues and problems to be decided jointly, work plans will be made and task distributions will be clarified. Within the scope of the workshop, the Sustainability of Subcontractors in the Defense and Aerospace Industry Panel, the Industrialization Policies and Processes of the Presidency of Defense Industries, the Supports Provided to Subcontractors, the Strategic Plan and R&D Policies presentations will be shared with the participants. On Sunday, the last day of the workshop, bilateral business meetings will take place between the main contractor and subcontractor companies.

Defense Industry President Haluk Görgün, in his speech at the workshop, said, “With the awareness that the strength of the whole comes from the components and that all production stakeholders should be as strong as possible, we attach great importance to the development of our subcontractors and subsidiary industries that produce high added value. When these developments are supported correctly, the domestic and national system and We know that we will continue to strengthen our power in the field with our subsystems, because we are aware that Turkey does not have the luxury of being dependent on foreign sources for its strategic products. For these purposes, we have the ability to compete in the international arena and have global supply chains in the supply and industrialization activities carried out by our presidency. Our work and support for the development and sustainability of an integrated qualified sub-industry continues. Our workshop, which will be held under the coordination of our Presidency with important contents for 3 days, will support the development of our country’s defense industry, establish a sustainable, competitive, original and global Turkish defense industry and strengthen our defense industry globally. “I hope it will serve to increase competitiveness,” he said.
