With the Core-S5, the French manufacturer Crosscall offers a robust feature phone that is particularly suitable for professional use.
The French specialist for outdoor phones, Crosscall, launched its comeback on the German market at the IFA. In addition to smartphones, the manufacturer is now also launching a feature phone, the Core-S5, which is aimed primarily at professional users. It will be available from the end of the month for 99.90 euros.
The 146 gram cell phone is protected against dust, water and other liquids such as cleaning agents in accordance with IP68. Thanks to the screwed casing, it can also withstand falls from a height of up to two meters on all six sides. The 2.4-inch display is made of particularly scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass 3. It is protected against extreme temperatures between minus 20 and plus 55 degrees.
In terms of functions, the 4G phone is reduced to the essentials: there is Bluetooth 5.0, a two-megapixel camera and two SIM card slots. The 1,800 mAh battery should allow up to ten days of standby time and twelve hours of talk time. The large backlit buttons can also be operated with gloves.
Like all Crosscall products, the Core-S5 comes with a five-year manufacturer’s warranty, including the battery. Spare parts are also guaranteed for ten years to encourage repairs over replacements.
