Crucial T705 im Test – connect

Micron expresses pressure given the price development T705 certainly a small tear from the corner of my eye. For this model with a passive heat sink alone, the price has fallen by over 100 euros since the SSD was introduced in March 2024. But this development, which is positive for consumers, applies to pretty much all SSDs. We tested the T705 with the passive heat sink, but also activated the case fans, which were also aimed directly at the memory chip.

If you don’t have this option, you can also order the naked module and purchase an active fan separately, for example the Graugear. Adequate cooling – and yes, we are repeating ourselves here – is absolutely essential to guarantee constant maximum speeds. This is especially true for the T705, because it is incredibly fast.

It is the only SSD in this comparison test that achieves the threshold of full points in all important benchmarks. This includes a maximum read value of well over 14 GByte/s, a maximum write value of over 12 GByte/s, and when reading out the entire data carrier, an average of over 3 GByte/s is exceeded – that is really impressive and worthy of all honor. The Test victory is the Crucial T705 That’s safe, although of course we had little things to complain about elsewhere. You have to weigh up personally whether the included passive heat sink is the best choice.

Conclusion

The Crucial T705 achieves the highest performance rating. This means the test victory is hers. The passive heat sink works well in a well-ventilated case. The T705 is equipped for any task that is assigned to it.
