Renewed yes, but not revolutionized. The Cupra Formentor It has recently been updated with a substantial restyling, which has revised the shapes of the bodywork and the interiorsin addition to some engines.

The dashboard of the Formentor maintains an important recognizability even in the restyling. The sharp shapes always characterize the SUV of the Cupra house, which stands out for the two large screens of the instrument panel and infotainment.

The infotainment screen goes from 12” to 12,9”. Beyond the upper diagonal, what has changed compared to the pre-restyling model is the ease of use and the interface. In fact, now the touch controls of the air conditioning and the radio volume buttons positioned under the central display are backlit, while the infotainment graphics have been completely updated.
There is a new layout of icons and screens, while the functions have remained almost the same. From the infotainment you can still manage the driving modes, the settings for the ambient lights and the camera system. Completing the technological equipment are the 10.25” digital instrument cluster and the 12-speaker, 390W Sennheiser sound system.

The Cupra’s interior is certainly impressive, with soft-touch materials for the upper dashboard and door panels, which also feature contrasting copper-coloured stitching. The same goes for the steering wheel, which features thicker padding in the 9:15 position.

For the rest, we also find finishes in piano black and brushed aluminum, as well as numerous copper-colored accents throughout the cabin. The only rough parts are in the lower part of the doors and the center tunnel.

Despite its sporty, coupé-like shape, the Formentor is not lacking in spaciousness. There is room for both the driver and passenger in the front, with the CupBucket seats of the more aggressive versions that support the hips well and have electrical adjustments.

In the back, the sloping roof does not detract from the habitability, with three passengers sitting comfortably, even if the central tunnel reduces legroom a little in the middle.
Not at the top of the category but still good capacity trunkwhich ranges from a minimum of 420 litres up to 1,500 litres by folding down the rear seats. Among other things, the sofa has a trap door in the centre to allow long objects such as skis to pass through.
