customer service not by AI, but real people

WhatsApp has a groundbreaking idea. The chat app is developing the Chat with Us feature, which allows users to contact real agents via the web client if AI support falls short.

Last year, WhatsApp tested AI-driven support, which allowed users to get answers to the questions they had. This feature is now available to everyone and requires you to complete a list of questions before you can get in touch with support via chat.

That method works, but is far from ideal. That’s why WhatsApp is working behind the scenes on the Chat with Us feature, which allows users to contact real people directly via the web client, without first being presented with frequently asked questions and AI-generated answers.

WhatsApp wants people, but also retains AI

The new feature However, this does not mean the end for the AI-supported chat function within WhatsApp. In this way, users still receive answers to their questions, but if that answer is not sufficient, they can still get in touch with people.

The function is currently being tested in a beta version of WhatsApp. It will take some time before all users can use it.
