Czech died this afternoon near the Bulgarian resort of Primorsko. The man was on vacation by the sea, spokeswoman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mariana Wernerová told ČTK. The Czech consular office in Burgas is in contact with the authorities there, she added. The website drew attention to the death Blesk.cz.
“We can confirm that a Czech citizen who was vacationing here with a travel agency died today on the northern beach in Primorsk,” Wernerová told ČTK. The resort did not publish further information regarding the family of the deceased.
One of the eyewitnesses of the Blesk.cz website said that the body of the deceased lay on the beach for over 70 minutes. He criticized the approach of the emergency services as lax. However, another witness, who allegedly knew the deceased man, disagreed with this. According to her, the police and rescuers arrived at the scene of the accident immediately and tried to revive the man for at least 15 minutes.
