Prague criminal detectives detained a Czech who, according to them, was one of the largest distributors of child homosexual pornography in the world. For this reason, he was wanted by the American Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the European Police Office (Europol). Spokesperson Kristýna Zelinková wrote this on the website of the Prague police on Tuesday, reports TASR in Prague.
According to criminologists, the man focused primarily on the distribution of materials created by other persons and gave others advice on how to sexually abuse minor boys, or how to effectively spread child pornography on the so-called darknet. “Thanks to the extent of his illegal activity, the man was at one time among the three largest distributors of homosexual child pornography in the world,” explained Zelinková. Prague police officers worked for more than a year to uncover this large-scale criminal activity.
According to them, it was a man of “advanced age” who had also obtained American citizenship in the past and was already referred to as an “electronic genius” by the American media in the 1980s. The FBI recorded information about him for almost ten years, but the police only discovered his identity during an international operation coordinated by Europol.
The man is currently in custody, where he is being prosecuted on suspicion of committing the crime of production and other handling of child pornography and the offense of abusing a child to produce pornography. If convicted, he faces up to eight years in prison.
