- Samsung rolls out One UI 6.1.1 update for older Galaxy Z Fold5, Z Flip5 and S23 series
- The new version brings advanced AI features originally only available on the Galaxy S24 series
- The update is available in Europe and other regions and is approximately 2.6GB in size
Not so long ago, Samsung introduced a new version of its One UI 6.1.1 superstructure together with the flexible Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6 series. He subsequently put it in this year’s Galaxy S24 flagships, and today the owners of last year’s jigsaws finally got their hands on it Z Fold5 a Z Flip5as well as users Galaxy S23, S23+ a S23 Ultra. The update is currently available in Europe, India and other markets.
What’s new in One UI 6.1.1?
The interesting thing is that although it is practically the same version as One UI 6.1.1, on the Galaxy S23, Z Flip5, and Z Fold5, it’s labeled as One UI 6.1. Why Samsung decided on this resolution is not entirely clear, but personally I would consider it more of a mistake. The update includes security patches from August 1stso one more update with the September 1 fixes can be expected to arrive in the near future.
The main novelty is undoubtedly the functions from the Galaxy AI package. For example, it is worth noting the fact that simple sketches can now be made into elaborate drawings, and from a basic image with a label you can generate a whole set of additional images thanks to the Galaxy AI icon in the Gallery application.
