- The OnlyFans platform is becoming more and more popular among Czechs as well
- Creators can (not only) earn hundreds of thousands with erotic photos and videos
- The tax office now intends to shine a light on the incomes of the Czechs
The OnlyFans platform was created in 2016 and she already had it in May 2023 over 3 million “creators” and more than 220 million registered users. It is a significant counterweight to regular social networks, and some people have started to make incredible money on it. And even if you don’t have to sell yourself or the titillating content there, that’s what she’s most famous for.
But even if the creators should classically tax their income from OnlyFans, quite possibly many of them do not. Which angered the domestic General Financial Directoratewhich reported on tax obligations for earnings on social networks already in January of this year.
Now the office had information sent directly from the platform about the amounts paid to the Czech Republic between 2020 and 2022. And it also found out information about specific creators. In total, they are said to have earned on this network in the given period over 600 million crowns. And there is reasonable suspicion that many of them did not properly declare their income to the state.
Enforcement begins
Now, the “boy” is starting to message specific creators and, through their mailboxes, warn them about possible tax arrears. That is, for errors in tax returns. In doing so, he chose a tactic that was exceptional does not deal with incomes up to 50 thousand crowns per year.
However, according to the findings of the officials, Czech profiles earn on average around 20,000 CZK per month. The fact that OnlyFans is a big business was mentioned many times, even by a model Simona Krainováwho also worked on the platform for a while – and admitted that she could easily earn a yacht there in a week.
However, the General Financial Directorate does not intend to focus only on OnlyFans – it intends to focus more on people who earn, for example, through Bookingu or Airbnb.
