Dacia announces that it has sold one million cars equipped with LPG engines in Europe. Motorization is available on the entire range of thermal models.
Dacia has offered petrol and LPG powertrains since 2010 and recently reached the milestone of 1 million LPG vehicles sold in Europe. The vehicles are designed and built to run on LPG and the tank is located in the compartment that houses the spare wheel in other cars, so it does not take up space that could be allocated for the petrol tank or in the boot.
The system has two separate tanks, each with a capacity of approximately 50 liters, depending on the model. The driver can manually switch from one to the other or the vehicle can automatically switch to petrol when the LPG tank is empty. Thus, the autonomy of a model equipped with such an engine can exceed the 1,000 kilometer mark.

Dacia offers the ECO-G 100 engine for the entire range of thermal models. This means that aspirants can choose this engine on Logan, Sandero, Sandero Stepway, Jogger or Duster.
Basically we are talking about a 1.0-liter engine, which develops 100 HP. This three-piston engine can also be found in the Dacia range in the form of the TCe 90, which uses the same architecture but is also not equipped with a factory LPG installation.
Dacia is the leader on the European LPG market with a share of 67% at the end of July 2024; nearly 40% of the brand’s customers chose LPG vehicles. Also, the best-selling best-selling car in Europe in 2024 is the Dacia Sandero. After the first eight months of this year, Dacia Sandero leads the ranking of the best-selling cars in Europe.
From the beginning of the year until August, 183,183 Sandero units were registered in Europe, an increase of 18.3% compared to last year.
