Dacia Sandero can no longer lose its leading position in the ranking of the best-selling new cars in Europe in 2024, and Dacia Duster enters the Top 10 at the end of the year.
The small class hatchback from the Dacia range prevailed this year, after in 2023 it ranked second, behind the electric Tesla Model Y. In 2024, the Dacia Sandero will be the best-selling new car in Europe, according to Economica.netwhich cites the latest data provided by JATO Dynamics.
The small-class model of the Romanian manufacturer can no longer be dethroned from the top of the ranking. With solid sales figures for the first 11 months of the year, the Dacia Sandero is on track to become the best-selling car in Europe in 2024.
As in October, the Sandero finished last month in first place in terms of European sales, with 22,214 units sold in Europe during November this year.
Dacia Sandero outperforms rivals such as Renault Clio and Peugeot 208
In November, Dacia Sandero surpassed cars such as Tesla Model Y (17,654 units), Volkswagen Golf (17,530 units), Renault Clio (17,213 units) and Peugeot 208 (16,798 units).
Thus, Dacia Sandero maintains its leading position in European sales of new cars for the first 11 months of 2024 and cannot be surpassed. With a total of 245,686 registered units and an increase of 14% compared to the same period of 2023, Dacia Sandero cannot lose the first position even at the end of the whole of 2024, the difference with the model in second place being too great.
At the end of November, Sandero has an advance of over 40,000 units sold compared to the car in second place – the Volkswagen Golf. With such a big difference, the Sandero will be crowned at the end of the year the best-selling car in Europe in 2025.
Dacia Duster climbed to the 10th position. The SUV produced at Mioveni registered 157,287 units sold by the end of last month, surpassing cars such as Kia Sportage, Volkswagen Tiguan or Peugeot 2008.
