Dacia’s new compact could be like this

The Bigster marked the entrance of Dacia In the segment C. But the SUV will not be the only model in this category. In fact, the Romanian brand has already announced the arrival of another car of similar size for some time to be even more competitive.

Expected between 2025 and 2026, the goal of this Dacia – whose name is still unknown – will be to directly challenge cars like the Volkswagen Golf and Opel Astra, focusing as always on rather accessible prices.

Sharp and spacious

Our rendering tries to imagine the shapes of this new Dacia, which in terms of dimensions should be halfway between the Duster and the Bigster, with a length of approximately 4.45 m. As admitted by the brand, it will not be a crossover or an SUV, but a compact model with traditional proportions always based on the CMF-B platform.

A sort of “Sandero XL” to simplify the concept as much as possible, with an overall style close to the brand’s most recent models. This is why we should find the thin grille with Y-shaped headlights and squared lines in every corner of the bodywork. An important focus will remain on thehabitabilitywith the Dacia being able to comfortably accommodate four people, while the technology on board should be taken over by Bigster.

Mild hybrid (a GPL) e full hybrid

The engines could also be in common with the Bigster. Here we find a mild hybrid petrol engine and a mild hybrid petrol/LPG engine, as well as two versions full hybrid 140 and 155 HP with automatic transmission.

These engines could guarantee even better fuel consumption than the Bigster due to the new model’s smaller dimensions and fundamentally better aerodynamics. At the moment, it seems that an electric variant is not planned.

Regarding the pricesit is possible that the price list starts around 25,000 euros, just below that of the Bigster. However, for more information we wait to hear more directly from Dacia itself.
