Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic said that an Albanian terrorist who killed one Serbian policeman and wounded another was liquidated today in the Banja Koviljača area.

Dacic told reporters on the spot that the killer of police officer Nikola Krsmanović fired a total of nine bullets at the Serbian police when they found him, after which he was killed.

He was reported by a resident of the village of Trbušnice when he asked him for water, Dacic said and added that there were about 400 policemen in this area who were looking for him.

– He hid here because there is a river and a border, he was looking for a way to cross the river. When our police arrived, he fired two shots at the police vehicle, to which the police responded and hit him with one shot – he said, adding that the attacker fired a total of nine shots at the police, i.e. the entire magazine.

The police caught up with him and liquidated him, said Dacic, stating that the attacker had no intention of surrendering.

– This is a cruel criminal and they told me that this is his fifth or sixth murder – he said and announced that the MUP will continue to work on this case and arrest all the people who have anything to do with the policeman’s murder.

He pointed out that he was sorry for the family of the policeman who was killed.

– The whole of Loznica was in fear. We followed him on cameras, we found his tracks on the fences. Here is his gun with which he killed the policeman – says Dacic.

He recalled that a married couple from Serbia had been arrested, as well as the driver, while announcing that Serbia would ask Germany to extradite the murderer’s brother.

– The story that his brother stole his documents is a lie. Why did he come back if he was in Germany. He sent him the documents and he is an accomplice. We will show no mercy to anyone – said Dacic.
