DAPURPACUID – PT Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM) is adding solar panel components to its factory in Karawang, West Java, with a capacity of 8.2 Mega Watts (MW).

The signing of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the installation of Rooftop Solar Power Plants with PT Energia Prima Nusantara (EPN) was held at the ADM Head Office, Sunter, North Jakarta, on July 29.

The signing of this MoU is a continuation of the implementation of the previous installation which began in 2019, starting from the Cibitung Parts Center, followed by the factory in Karawang which will continue until now.

Thus, Daihatsu’s assembly plant has a total capacity of 12.5 MW, which can reduce emissions by more than 17,000 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) per year.

This collaboration is a manifestation of Daihatsu’s commitment to support the government’s program to reduce CO2 emissions by implementing modern and environmentally friendly production processes.

Deputy President Director of PT ADM, Erlan Krisnaring said, Daihatsu continues to strive to create an environmentally friendly assembly plant by utilizing cleaner and more sustainable energy.

“We hope that this effort can make a positive contribution to preserving the environment for a better future generation,” said Erlan, in an official broadcast, Tuesday (6/8).

Present at the signing of the MoU were Yasushi Kyoda, President Director of ADM, accompanied by Erlan Krisnaring, and Iwan Hadiantoro, President Director of EPN with Achmad Rizal, Director of EPN. (dpid/TH)
