DAPURPACUID – The 2024 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) is a momentum for Daihatsu to showcase its products and excellent services to its consumers.
Moreover, through the theme ‘Grow for Better Tomorrow’ which was carried at the 1,960 m2 booth in Hall 8D this time, it managed to get extraordinary attention from visitors.
As a result, the Daihatsu booth won an award as the favorite booth for the 1,501 – 2,500 m2 passenger car category.
Not only that, one of the Daihatsu Princesses also won the award as Runner Up I Miss Auto Show GIIAS 2024.
“We would like to thank the extraordinary enthusiasm of visitors at the booth, as well as appreciation to customers who chose Daihatsu vehicles during the GIIAS exhibition yesterday,” said Sri Agung Handayani, Marketing Director and Corporate Communication Director of PT Astra Daihatsu Motor.
Sri Agung added that GIIAS is the largest national automotive exhibition to get closer to the wider community through new experiences and edutainment.
This, he continued, is reflected through Daihatsu products, Daihatsu’s easy ownership program, after-sales services, educational programs for families and students, and entertainment for visitors.
“We are optimistic that Daihatsu will remain a brand that is close to the Indonesian people,” added Sri Agung, in his written statement, Monday (5/8).
As is known, the Diorama concept applied to the Daihatsu booth can provide an exciting and enjoyable experience for visitors with friends and family.
Through this theme, Daihatsu is always present and grows with the Indonesian people in providing mobility and moving towards a better sustainable future.
President Director of PT Astra Daihatsu Motor, Yasushi Kyoda hopes that all visitors can enjoy the Daihatsu booth and get an exciting and enjoyable experience.
“We are committed to contributing by providing better mobility, while growing together with the Indonesian people towards a sustainable future,” said Kyoda.
Carrying the theme of sustainability, the Daihatsu booth presents the Sustainability Center facility as an educational tool in showcasing Daihatsu’s efforts to realize sustainable development covering the environment, social and economy.
There are three types of entertainment that are attractively packaged through the ECO HUB infographic board, which explains Daihatsu’s contribution to the environment so far.
There is also a sustainable production video, which explains the production process of environmentally friendly vehicles, and ECONERGY games that visitors can enjoy while explaining one of the production processes at the Daihatsu factory.
Present Special Display Models
In line with that, the Sigra Cardboard model was also displayed, which is the result of a collaboration between Daihatsu and Dus Duk Duk, and is made from used cardboard from the Daihatsu factory.
This 1:1 scale Sigra replica is made from around 70 large sheets of used cardboard, with a thickness of 4 mm measuring 120×240 cm, which is environmentally friendly with a total of 270 parts and pallets. The manufacturing process took around 3 weeks.
In its manufacture, it goes through a development process from the Daihatsu technician team, starting from the Design, Structure and Pattern, Cutting and Assembling, Installation and Finishing, and Maintenance stages.
Astra Daihatsu Sigra is a 7-passenger LCGC MPV car that is claimed to be suitable for young Indonesian families, and can also be their first vehicle.
So far, Daihatsu Sigra has been the main contributor to Daihatsu’s sales nationally and has sold more than 370 thousand units, since its first launch in 2016.
Until Semester 1 2024, Sigra remains the main choice for Indonesian families, and has experienced an increase with a contribution of 61% in the LCGC MPV market segment, or as many as 30,013 units.
Every year, Daihatsu successfully provides a surprise at its booth at the GIIAS automotive exhibition, and this time it presents the Daihatsu me:MO electric concept car.
In addition, the Japan Domestic Market Rocky e-Smart Hybrid unit was also displayed, along with modified models of the Rocky Crossfield and Terios Graphite. (dpid/TH)
