The sequel to the “Umarells”

The “umarell”, a term coined by Danilo Masotti, should be in Bolognese dialect the elderly people who wander around the construction sites, hands behind their backs, to snoop on the work in progress and, why not, offer some criticism.

Among the many messages also that of the Municipality of Bologna, “We hug you Danilo”, and of the former interim president of the Region Irene Priolo: “”What you did was a ‘crazy way of informing on this very underestimated topic’. Not crazy, but an extraordinary gesture of love.”

“Reaching the end with a smile: how a life can be fuller. Thank you Concetta for reminding us, of all people, that happiness is the best reason to live this life” wrote the comedian Paolo Ruffini. “I have often not been able to recognize many things and many people, but thanks to you I have recognized happiness. Your smile is present. You are in my heart.”

The former blogger and writer from Bologna, author among other things of the successful book “Umarells”, was able to sensitively describe the daily commitment of a caregiver alongside a loved one. A way of explaining their bond that has certainly left its mark.
