Darts World Cup starts today in hot phase – timetable for the weekend

Ricardo Pietreczko will go into the third round on Saturday as the last remaining German World Cup participant

The Christmas break is over: Sport1 will broadcast the 3rd round of the Darts World Cup live from this evening.

This Friday evening, defending champion Luke Humphries is back on stage after comfortably winning his opening match against Thibault Tricole. Many other top stars in the darts world will be in action on Saturday and Sunday. At this point, 14 top 32 players have already been eliminated from this year’s World Cup. Will there be any more surprises this weekend or will the favorites prevail? Will Ricardo Pietreczko make it to the round of 16?

Katharina Kleinfeldt continues to moderate and deliver interviews and impressions from “Ally Pally”. Eight-time World Cup participant Max Hopp is at your side as an expert. The broadcasts will be accompanied by commentator Basti Schwele together with three-time World Cup participant Robert Marijanovic. On December 30th, Kai Gotthardt will accompany both sessions as a co-commentator alongside Basti Schwele.

Can Pietreczko reach the next round?

Ricardo Pietreczko is going into the third round as the last remaining German World Cup participant. In the second round he won his game against the Dutch Gian van Veen 3-1. After Niko Springer was eliminated in the first round against Scott Williams, the World Cup was over for Kai Gotthardt, Gabriel Clemens, Martin Schindler and Florian Hempel in the second round. Tomorrow, Saturday, December 28th, Ricardo Pietreczko will face last year’s semi-finalist Scott Williams, who defeated Niko Springer 3-1 in the first round. Can “Pikachu” prevail against the Englishman? Sport1 will show this match live on free TV on Saturday from 3 p.m.
