From November 26 to December 8, the Daugavpils self-government will conduct a survey of residents, during which they are invited to express their opinion on the work of the Olympic Casino gambling hall, located in New Forstadt, on Raipoles Street, 11A, according to the City Duma portal.
According to part six of Article 42 of the Law on Gambling and Lotteries, if the organization of gambling in a certain place allows a significant violation of the interests of the state and residents of the relevant administrative territory, the City Duma, with a reasoned decision, has the right to cancel the issued permit to open a casino, gaming hall, bingo hall, betting house or betting, places where bets are accepted and the organization of relevant gambling in a specific premises.
The survey results will help the local government determine whether this gambling hall, Olympic Casino, is harmful to the interests of residents (threatens the safety of residents, public order, peace of mind, and contributes to the development of gambling addiction).
The survey questionnaire will be available in the mailboxes of apartment owners in residential buildings located 150 meters from the gaming hall, as well as in the information office of the Daugavpils municipality (Kr. Valdemara St., 1). Filling out the form will take no more than 1 minute.
Answers can be left in a box located at the entrance of residential buildings (for transmitting readings on water consumption), in the office of the service organization, in the information office of the Daugavpils municipality (Kr. Valdemara St., 1).
