The Romanian swimmer David Popovici qualified, on Sunday, in the semi-finals of the 200 m free trial at the Olympic Games in Paris, with the best time of the series, 1 min 45 sec 65/100.
Popovici surpassed the Lithuanian Danas Rapsys, with 26/100.
The semi-finals are also scheduled for Sunday, from 21:46.
Popovici (19 years old) was fourth in the 200m freestyle final three years ago, at the Tokyo Olympics
