The 62-year-old Demi Moore, after a career of 45 years in the cinema, managed to get her first award for her acting performance in the horror film “The Substance” (The Elixir of Youth).
She said she was “shocked” when she went on stage to accept the Golden Globe and went on to say that the film’s script came into her hands at a time when she was in a quagmire.

“Then this magical, bold, courageous, absolutely crazy script came across my desk… and the universe told me you’re not done,” said Demi Moore.
“This is the first time I’ve won anything as an actor”
“I didn’t really expect it. I’m in shock right now,” were the first words of the actress as soon as she received the award. “I’ve been doing this for a long time, over 45 years, and this is the first time I’ve won something as an actor and I feel so grateful,” he continued.

She then recalled a conversation she had with a film producer 30 years ago, who had described her as a “popcorn actress”.
“Then it (the designation) made me think that it (the award) was not allowed to have,” Moore added. “And I believed it, I believed it, and it ate away at me over time, until a few years ago I thought maybe that was the end. Maybe I was complete, maybe I had done what I had to do,” he added.

“No you will never be enough”
Concluding her impassioned acceptance speech, she said: “One thing I think this movie teaches is that in the moments when we don’t feel smart enough, beautiful enough, thin enough, successful enough, or generally not enough, I’ve had a woman say to me, ‘No , you will never be enough, but you can understand your worth if you just stop comparing yourself.” So today I celebrate this award as a sign of my completeness and the love that guides me. And for the gift of doing something I love and being reminded that I belong here. Thank you very much.”
Demi Moore won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical for her performance in French director Coralie Farza’s The Substance.
“The Elixir of Youth”
In the film, the 62-year-old American actress plays Elizabeth Sparkle, a one-time award-winning actress who starred on Hollywood Boulevard, who is now a morning-show gymnast. When she is fired by the vulgar manager of the channel – who is not coincidentally named Harvey – for simply turning fifty, she will discover a mysterious substance that promises to bring out the best in her. Literally.
Elizabeth will say yes and a younger, prettier, fitter clone of herself will emerge from her body. But there is one unbreakable condition for the essence to work: Elizabeth and her clone will alternate every seven days.
While one lives her life, the other will be in a sort of coma, regaining strength. If this balance is upset, there will be consequences. Which, of course, the two women will soon discover, since Sue, intoxicated by her youth and the celebrity she will acquire, will slowly begin to steal Elizabeth’s time.
