Kosmonosy (Mladoboleslavsko) – Traffic on the 46th kilometer of the D10 highway near Kosmonos in Mladoboleslavsko today will be complicated by the demolition of the overpass at the intersection being rebuilt. From 5:00 p.m. today until 11:00 a.m. Sunday, a three-hundred-meter section of the highway will be closed. The demolished overpass is part of the original interchange and cars still travel on it. During and after the demolition, traffic will be diverted to half of the new turbo-roundabout.
Drivers must expect partial restrictions today from 12:00 to 17:00 and on Sunday from 11:00 to 14:00, they will only drive through one lane in each direction. Traffic during the total closure of the highway will be one plus one lane on the on- and off-ramps of the interchange. Cars heading from Turnov to Prague will enter the adjacent roundabout in Průmyslova Street in Kosmonosy at the 13th gate of the Škoda Auto complex, and vehicles heading from Prague to Turnov or Kosmonos will already use part of the newly built turbo-roundabout.
The Directorate of Roads and Highways started the extensive reconstruction of the intersection last September, the work is being carried out by Eurovia CS for almost 737 million crowns without tax. The new intersection is expected to have nine branches, the outer diameter of which will be 140 meters. Construction should be completed next summer at the latest.
