Press Counselor Uysan shared a post on the subject on his social media account X, referring to the statement of the Ministry of Trade denying the allegations that “trade with Israel continues through third countries.”
Uysan, who reported that they followed with astonishment and sadness the statements of the vice chairman of the Republican People’s Party, indicating the data of the “Israel Statistics Authority” regarding the continuation of trade with Israel, made the following assessments:
“At a time when 41 thousand people have been martyred in Palestine, Gaza and the West Bank under Israeli oppression, when dozens of people died and thousands were injured in Lebanon just two days ago, while our President, our government and the Turkish people are selflessly fighting together with the Palestinian people, and while Turkey is the only country in the world that has stopped all trade with Israel, these baseless statements made in collaboration with the Israeli authorities and aimed at lies and distortion have nothing to do with the Palestinian cause and the interests of the Palestinians.
They only serve Israel’s interests. The most painful and shameful aspect of these statements is that while the official customs and foreign trade systems of the Republic of Turkey and the transparent and real data and statistics of the Turkish Statistical Institute are included in these statements, the disinformation data of Israeli services and institutions are cited as sources. This alone clearly shows that the political and some media figures who made this statement do not even mention the Palestinians, but serve Israel’s interests with the aim of wearing down Turkey and the government, and from whom they receive information and guidance. Their only concern is to harm the great efforts of Turkey and its government, which have worked the hardest for Palestine in the world, have adopted an honorable and dignified stance and policy against the Israeli genocide, and are constantly thanked by all Palestinian authorities, for the oppressed Palestine. In fact, we have witnessed Israeli authorities praising and referring to them in their social media posts from time to time.
Uysan emphasized that the Republic of Türkiye, its government and its people, stand with Palestine.
“Turkey’s customs system has been partially closed to Israel for exports and imports since April 9, 2024, and completely since May 2, 2024,” Uysan said, adding:
“As we have explained, only products approved by the Palestinian Ministry of National Economy, delivered to Palestinians and needed by oppressed Palestinians can be shipped, provided that the destination after this approval is Palestine. In this case, the aim of this chorus of lies and slander is to sabotage even Turkey’s exports to all countries of the world, to serve Israeli interests and to damage the processes of providing even the products needed by oppressed Palestinians. Our Ministry of Trade made the necessary statement on this issue two days ago.”
