Details of the 750 lira contribution fee from credit card have been announced.

The Law on Certain Regulations Related to the Defense Industry and the Law on Amendments to Some Laws were submitted by the AK Party to the Presidency of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) last Friday.

The controversial omnibus bill will come before the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Plan Budget Commission on Tuesday.

The article regarding credit cards in the proposal attracted intense reaction. Accordingly; A ‘contribution fee’ of 750 lira will be deducted from credit cards with a limit of 100 thousand lira and above to support the defense industry.

It has become clear when this contribution will be withdrawn. The 750 lira share will be reflected in the card holder’s account as of the 5th day of January every year.

The annual contribution of 750 lira for each card from card holders with a limit of 100 thousand lira and above will not be refunded if the card is cancelled.

No contribution fee will be charged for additional cards and art cards created based on a card.
