Emphasizing that digital bullying creates devastating effects on the social, emotional and physical health of children and young people, Minister Uraloğlu said, “Digital violence threatens not only individuals but also social peace. Cyber bullying has become a problem that shakes our children’s self-confidence, negatively affects their educational success and damages their social relationships. Therefore, encouraging conscious use of technology and raising awareness among families is our top priority.” he said.
“WE ENCOURAGE CONSCIOUS USE WITH THE SECURE INTERNET CENTER”
Minister Uraloğlu drew attention to the work of the Safe Internet Center, which was established in 2016, and said:
“The Safe Internet Center operating within BTK is an important building block for the conscious and safe use of the internet. This structure, which serves with three units: Awareness Center, Internet Help Center and Reporting Center, raises awareness of both children and parents about the risks of the internet. “Within the scope of awareness-raising activities, we continue to reach large segments of the society with the information provided through www.guvenliweb.org.tr.”
“WE REACHED 210 THOUSAND PEOPLE WITH 1,300 TRAININGS”
Noting that trainings are organized every year for the purpose of raising awareness and raising awareness, Uraloğlu said, “As of 2024, 120 education was carried out and approximately 23 thousand people were reached in this process.
