The DFSK E5 PHEV is the new plug-in hybrid SUV from the Chinese brand Dongfeng Sokon Automobile, one of the largest oriental car manufacturers. Already known in the Old Continent, it will debut on the Italian market in January 2025 with a launch price of 36.888 euroVAT included.
Designed to combine practicality and comfort, it presents itself as an interesting choice for those who want a car to use both on long journeys and in the city, thanks to the rechargeable hybrid powertrain capable of guaranteeing a rather interesting electric range. Moving on to the interiors, the real protagonists of the car in question, the interior of the E5 PHEV is designed to offer comfort and practicality. THE five seatsin particular, are covered in leather as standard and are combined with a panoramic roof of generous dimensions which guarantees great internal lighting, amplifying the feeling of space.
As regards on-board technology, the dashboard integrates a touch display as standard 10.25 inches for the infotainment system, complete with compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and among the features there is no shortage of parking sensors, a 360° camera system and automatic climate control.

Moving on to the mechanics, as the name suggests the E5 PHEV is equipped with a powertrain ibrido plug-intherefore with a rechargeable battery, which combines a 1.5-litre petrol engine with an electric motor powered by a 1.5-litre lithium battery pack. 17,5 kWh of capacity.
This is a configuration which, according to the Chinese approval cycle, allows a range in fully electric mode of approximately 87 km: a value that could be lower in our less permissive WLTP cycle. Charging can be done in approximately 4 hours thanks to an on-board charger of unspecified power.

As anticipated, the month of January 2025 marks the start of marketing in Italy for the DFSK E5 PHEV, which is therefore officially on sale with a launch price of 36.888 euroVAT included, a value that obviously includes all the standard on-board equipment we talked about above, but does not include registration costs (putting it on the road) and the Provincial Transcription Tax (IPT).
