DHL opens its own ServicePoint in its home base of Leidsche Rijn for residents and entrepreneurs

With a festive ceremony, DHL eCommerce opened its own store as a parcel point in the middle of the Leidsche Rijn district of Utrecht on Tuesday. The entire neighborhood can go here to collect, return and ship packages, both within the Netherlands and internationally. The new parcel point can be recorded as a standard or incidental delivery option in the My DHL app.

Entrepreneurs can also contact the service point with more packages until a later time. In the store before 6 p.m. this means that the order will be processed on the same evening for delivery the next day. Larger quantities of packages can also be delivered.

The store’s service area includes Leidsche Rijn, which with 50,000 inhabitants is a large neighborhood where the number of parcels is growing rapidly. The intention is to have more DHL ServicePoints in the Netherlands that offer this extra service.
