Parcel deliverer DHL Parcel will soon increase rates for business customers in the German market.
It informs the market about this. The price adjustment will be implemented in phases this year from October 1, 2024, depending on the customer group.
The price increases are necessary due to ‘significant increases in personnel costs from April 2024’ and investments in the expansion of the logistics network and the decarbonization of its own network.
In addition, in Germany the federal government plans to increase the CO2 price on January 1, 2025. DHL will therefore also adjust the toll and CO2 surcharge for its business customers from 2025.
Of this decision consequences for the Dutch market are not yet known. DHL has here a market share between 20 and 25 percent.
