This is mostly a lie shared Russian propaganda channels.

Similar lies have appeared on the Internet several times recently. 15min recently denied that a BBC presenter said off-screen she would shoot herself if she spoke about Ukraine again, and that another presenter on the US channel was allegedly made fun of by images of Ukrainian soldiers’ graves.

Laughed at the Christmas tree

Using reverse photo search, 15min discovered the actual clip, which shows the two hosts laughing.

On the YouTube platform as early as 2021. was loaded for 20 minutes a video. It is also plastered with excerpts from news reports in which something funny happens to reporters or presenters. The clip in question is also used here.

It is available to find and Facebook, where it was shared by the host seen in the post, named Sheila Gray. Her account shows that the woman does not work for CNN at all, but for Local 12. She co-hosts the morning news show with colleague Bob Herzog, who is also seen in the clip shared by netizens.

The video shows the host talking about the city of Cincinnati’s Christmas tree. She is amused by the fact that the tree is quite dilapidated.

S. Gray says that the fir tree, which becomes a decoration of the city every year, was brought to the city square, but it looks a bit irregular. For its part, 3CDC, the real estate development and finance organization that oversees the city of Cincinnati, assured that the work is not yet complete.

The woman quotes them saying that after the Christmas tree arrives every year, it still needs to be worked on, but due to the pandemic, work is going slower. The sight of the tree makes both reporters laugh, and they start singing, ostensibly to save the Christmas tree.

Cincinnati City Spruce received considerable attention in the media and in social networkswhere netizens mocked her.

This news was quoted only by pro-Russian sources, who also shared a fake clip. They took footage of people with the Ukrainian flag, associative photos, added the CNN logo and a clip of news anchors, and finally presented it as a supposed report.

It was in October reportedthat in one French region, Ukrainian refugees were asked to move out of the housing provided to them due to budget cuts. However, in this case, it was about 600 Ukrainians, not about 10,000. In addition, the timing of this news does not coincide with the now widespread false report about 10 thousand. evicted Ukrainians.

15min verdict: lie. The video is fake. The original news post was published back in 2020. In it, the hosts laughed at a Christmas tree in Cincinnati. News portals did not report about 10 thousand. eviction of Ukrainians from housing.
