Huge blow for presenter after uproar over show’s report on George Baldock’s death
After the storm of reactions caused by the report on the residence of Panathinaikos football player George Baldock, who died prematurely, the rumors continue to … enter the morning show of ANT1, but also the next professional plans of Giorgos Liagas.
The show’s ratings, which have been under heavy pressure since the beginning of the season, have further declined with no one being able to say whether this is a temporary situation or will become permanent down the road.
On Monday morning (14/10) the morning infotainment show of ANT1 had an average viewership share in the dynamic audience 18 – 54 of 8.6% occupying fourth place behind “Buongiorno” on Mega, “Super Katerina” on Alpha and “Breakfast » in STAR.
Overall, “Morning” scored a clearly better performance, 14.6%, ranking second behind SKAI’s “Atairiastos”.
The atmosphere is reportedly heavy on the show, but efforts are being made to turn it around. Information about the intention of resignations is based, however, so far all the contributors continue as they are.
Aphrodite Grammeli was absent on Monday morning for health reasons, but on Tuesday morning (10/15) she was normally in her place.
As far as commercial placements are concerned, the situation is not clear there either, with many companies insisting on the withdrawal of their products.
In this climate, it is considered certain – almost a foregone conclusion – that Giorgos Liagas’ evening game show will not be aired.
