The Olympic Games are always a spectacular event. Who doesn’t remember the gigantic drawings with domino pieces who, at the opening ceremony of the Beijing Games, moved as if they were alive, or Queen Elizabeth II jumping out of a helicopter, at the opening of the UK Games. Also the Paris Olympic Games, about to start, are unmissable for anyone who has the opportunity to travel there. In theory. Because in practice, there will be too many people everywhere and the traffic will be hell. It would be great see the athletes from a distance, from the tranquility of a yacht, gliding slowly and indolently down the Seine. And who says you can’t? Guess who thought of that? Dior. Between July 30 and August 11, anyone who wants to can embark on a cruise on the Seine organized by the luxury French brand. A kind of water spa, with treatments, yoga, pilates and exclusive meals by chef Jean Imbert.
Imagine that one of these days, during the next fortnight, instead of being at nine in the morning, in a gigantic queue, waiting to enter an Olympic competition, you are on the pier Henri IV, near Île Saint-Louis, on the River Seine, peacefully entering the Dior Spa Cruise. Isn’t that a nice idea? Over there, in addition to a reception area with a selection of Dior skincare and fragrances, you will find four treatment cabins single cabins and a double cabin. The upper deck offers an outdoor fitness area, where yoga and pilates sessions, and ten sun loungers shaded by umbrellas, and a cold plunge pool inspired by cryotherapy.
As if that weren’t enough, the Dior Spa Cruise will welcome, for the first time, the famous restaurant Monsieur Dior, with chef Jean Imbert, what planned an exclusive menu of healthy and tasty dishes in three options, depending on the time of day: breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea.
As for treatments, you can choose between facial and body treatments. Facials include HydraFacial, with mechanical exfoliation via hydro-dermabrasion followed by chemical exfoliation, for hydrated and detoxified skin; Skin-Nutrition, which includes an exclusive massage with the Micro-Huile de Rose Dior Prestige and its 22 micronutrients extracted from the Granville rose; or, lastly, the Miracle The Gold of Life, an anti-aging treatment, with antioxidant effect, that uses the longevity benefits of the Yquem vine.
When it comes to your body, you have four options. The body remodeling treatment Sculpt Therapy, with radio frequency – with a new machine from Indiba, specially developed for Dior, and whose worldwide launch will take place on board this cruise; Muscle Therapy, a ritual inspired by athletes’ sports recovery programs, which combines alveolar microaspiration with muscle massage; D-Tissue, a vigorous massage, to release stiffness, oxygenate the muscles, eliminate toxins and relieve muscle pain; and finally, Constellation, a calming massage to relax and release stress.
The Dior Spa Cruise departs daily at 9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 5pm, and offers three options: Fitness Cruise, lasting two hours and including one hour of fitness (yoga or pilates), a meal and relaxation time; Treatment Cruise, also lasting two hours and including one hour of body or facial treatment, a meal and relaxation time; or Treatment and Fitness Cruise, lasting four hours and including fitness, treatment, two relaxation moments and a meal.
The Fitness option costs 650 euros, the Treatment option costs 1150 euros, and the complete option costs 1800 euros. Reservations are made at site yes dior
