The footballers of Slavia Prague lost in the first match of the Champions League play-off at OSC Lille 0:2. Ivan Schranz appeared in the starting line-up of the guests, the Slovak winger played until the 75th minute.
The players of Lille had the upper hand against the “stitched” from the beginning. In the first half, Jonathan David had not yet converted two goals, but in the 52nd minute, the Canadian forward headed exactly to the near post and sent the home team into the lead.
In the 77th minute, he added the second goal of the French team after an individual penetration by Egon Zhegrova. The Czech representative was immediately able to respond with a header from Mojmír Chytil, but VAR intervened and the goal was ruled out for offside.
Slavia did not manage to lower the score, so OSC takes a promising two-goal lead into the rematch.
In the next Tuesday’s meetings, home team Dinamo Zagreb managed to easily beat FK Karabach 3:0 and FK Bodö/Glimt beat CZ Belgrade just 2:1. Slovak defender Michal Tomič watched the match from the bench of the home team.
