Today, with most haenyeo now in their sixties, seventies and eighties, their traditions and way of life are under threat. But these fierce, funny and hard-working women refuse to give in, aided by a new generation fighting to revive their ancestral lifestyle through social media. This documentary, which analyzes the motivations that drive the young and old haenyeo, focuses on their strong friendship, their wise independence and their contagious spirit of emancipation.
