Disney+ also started limiting password sharing in Hungary –

After Netflix, the Mickey mouse company also began to weed out users who do not watch their content from the subscriber’s household.

It seems that the period when every major Hollywood company is busy launching their own streaming platform is slowly coming to an end. The market is starting to become saturated, and due to the rise of competition, the market leaders have started to grab every corner.

The first step on this path is to take action against password sharers. This means that the companies start to really limit the people who use a subscription to those living in the same household. Although these bans usually reach Hungary late, after Netflix, Hungarian users have now also been faced with a warning from Disney+.

Several users have indicated that upon entering the service, they are greeted by a hitherto unknown screen, which warns them that the service can only be used by people living in the same household. As we previously reported, for extra money – but for a much smaller amount than a full-price subscription – it is possible to share our subscription with an additional user.

Although it was convenient to have a subscription scattered among friends, it looks like those days are slowly coming to an end. This is also proven by the fact that soon the third major streaming platform, Max, will also take action against password sharing.
